Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate!
As many of us will be busy with family traditions today, a tradition you may not be familiar with is the movie watching tradition. Many families in the United States go watch a film on Thanksgiving day in theaters (if they are open), or at home. Today, we would like to bring you a classic film for everyone to enjoy on Thanksgiving. Whether you are enjoying it with the family, or enjoying it after the family craziness, we bring you Dutch.
Dutch is a 1991 film that was originally released in the UK and Australia as Driving Me Crazy. The comedy-drama is directed by Peter Faiman, and written by John Hughes. A working class man named Dutch, begins to dated the divorced Natalie, and ends up involving himself a lot more than he thought in her son’s life. Dutch drives the typical 13-year old from his school, to his mother’s house, for Thanksgiving. Doyle wants nothing to do with Dutch, as he still is blaming his mother for his parent’s divorce years later. The two end up bonding, even though there are some disagreements in the beginning, and form something that is unexpected. The family enjoys an incredible Thanksgiving holiday, and moves on from some of the old clutter in their lives.
Dutch is the perfect film for the holiday season, but especially Thanksgiving. If you are looking for something to watch, try Dutch on Netflix streaming today. The film could bring your family a little closer together than they were already! Happy Streaming & Happy Holidays! 🙂
